I just can’t seem to feel very excited and motivated about anything today.  Dropped Erica off at school earlier this afternoon and bawled my head off.  I’ve just been really having a rough time of it since Jackie’s birthday.

She went and turned 14 on me.  Fourteen!  Now why I’m having a harder time with this than 13, I don’t know.  I think it’s just a combination of a bunch of stuff.  She’s moved up from Beehives to Mia Maids in church, she’ll be able to attend her first church dance next month, she starts high school and seminary this next school year (which hello, I just graduated from like yesterday!), she’ll start learning to drive in a year, we had to sit down and figure out which diploma she wants to graduate with, what she wants her career path to be, etc…  These past fourteen years have just flown by.  And it seems like they just keep flying by faster and faster with each passing year. 

We will blink and before we know it, she’ll have graduated from high school and most likely halfway across the country at BYU.  Where has my first little baby gone?  I think what has totally brought the tears on is Erica’s Pre-K is at the high school Jackie will be attending, then Erica will move next door to the new elementary school for full day school.  And tonight is Freshman Orientation, and it just feels like our next chapter is flying towards us way faster than I want it to. 

I always have the best intentions of staying caught up on my blog.  I’ve almost always been able to keep up with my emails.  But both along with my Facebook have just totally taken a back seat. 

I went to check my emails this morning, wow!  I finally just had to delete everything or I would have never been able to get through them.  So if you’ve sent me an important email over the past three weeks, please send it again.  I’m truly not ignoring you.

Trying to look back on the past few weeks I’m trying hard to figure out where my time has gone and what my excuse is for being such a slacker.  I can not come up with anything other than maybe with the kids being home over Christmas Break interrupted my routine and I’m struggling to find it again. 

So I promise, I’m not a snob.  I haven’t been ignoring anyone.  And I really miss not reading everyone’s blogs.  Don’t worry, everyone will be seeing and hearing much more from me soon.    Is that a good thing for everyone?
